Sometimes you may have to distribute your PowerPoint presentations to people who don’t have PowerPoint installed. For them to be able to experience your presentation, they will need some form of PowerPoint viewer. There is none better than the one that comes directly from Microsoft – the Microsoft Office PowerPoint Viewer 2007.
PowerPoint Viewer Free Download
The Microsoft Office PowerPoint Viewer 2007 is a free download. Save the .exe to your hard drive and then run it. Once installed, click Start > All Programs > Microsoft Office PowerPoint Viewer 2007, to start the program. After accepting the license terms, the program takes a few seconds to load.
When you run the program, the File Open dialogue box opens for you to navigate to the presentation you need to view. Select it and click Open. Don’t be disheartened if the presentation takes a while to load, especially if the presentation is large. The presentation will now run as if you were using PowerPoint to perform the task.
You can use the same controls as PowerPoint to control the show to:
- Left click on the mouse to progress to the next slide – or -
- Press Enter on the keyboard to move to the next slide
- Press Escape on teh keyboard to end the presentation
